Once Again, this Spring, the Norristown Preservation Society was able to hold its History Day Event at Saint John's Episcopal Church on Airy Street, across from the Montgomery County Court House. It was well attended and the coverage in the local newspaper helped increase the public attendance.

St. Johns had a photo projection of the extensive renovations it has done on the historic church that dates from the same time as the incorporation of Norristown, in 1812.

The recent publication of picture books about Norristown received considerable attention. The authors, Michael Bono and Jack Coll were there, talking to visitors, and joining in the enthusiasm we all share about the history of our Montgomery County seat.

We are already looking forward to April 2009, when this popular event will be held again in the interest of celebrating Norristown, its past and guideposts to its future.
